   I would like to echo those who are calling for a French version of MacSpeech Dictate and say that I am also eagerly awaiting a German version. In an ideal world, I would love to be able to dictate in both German (or French) and English within one document (i.e., dictating a memo mostly in English but throwing in German words or sentences whenever I need to), but barring that I'll take a straight German version. Any word on when this might become available?

   I'm sorry there's no announced date for a German version. Thanks for providing more specifics on how you'd like to use the requested feature/version.

   I'd definitely like to second the request for a German version. Dragon NaturallySpeaking has a German version, some really helpful this will also become part of MacSpeech Dictate. As for me, I don't need to mix languages so much as write documents in either English or German.

   Thank you for your patience. It is now released:

   MacSpeech Dictate International supports speech recognition in German, French, English or Italian. This includes both dictation and commands.

   In Germany, the localized version is called MacSpeech Dictate, but the interface, commands and box are all in German, and it supports speech recognition in German, French, English or Italian.

   And these product editions are compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

   Hi, I am just learning to use the system and I'm doing okay but I note this a real problem when you use two languages, in my case German and English. For instance I need to find out what certain control characters are called in German, the manual does not tell you. You can case for some things like; what whatever but you cannot get a print out way you can train yourself or well done with the book in parallel. At first I couldn't find the manual at all and that is a different definitely a problem. And I think I am fairly experienced user now because I wrote all of this with the software.

   Also I have two switch languages regularly and I was wondering if there is a way to train the system to just use; for instance when I need it; independent of Walt language I am using. I understand that it's difficult because you have to enlarge their vocabulary which makes it hard to figure out what is what but it would definitely be useful.

   Anyway my main question is if there a manual or a PDF that I can print out that will help me learning the commands in German in my case or is just just not available. Thank you very much.

   Oh by the way, next question, is there a German version that is marketed in another country and may that software is called something else but it may be has to seem a similar manual? I would not mind spending some extra money to get a copy off that only I need to figure out where to find it thank you very much

   juggle5 - Which product do you own, and in which country are you located?

   "MacSpeech Dictate International" is sold in English-speaking countries but it supports German, as well as French, Italian and English. It has an English user interface, and all of the documentation is in English.

   In Germany (and some other German-speaking countries, such as Schweiz), the product is called "MacSpeech Dictate", and the user interface and user manuals are in Deutsch.
