"Crashing when dictating into other applications under Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard)."

Details:

If you are experiencing crashing during the use of MacSpeech Dictate 1.5 or MacSpeech Dictate 1.3 in applications and you are using Mac OS X 10.5.x, try turning off automatic generation of email commands:

  1. Open MacSpeech Dictate
  2. Go to the Dictate menu
  3. Choose Preferences menu item
  4. Go to the Command tab
  5. Uncheck the option for "Generate Email Commands at Startup"
  6. Close Preferences window
  7. Quit MacSpeech Dictate
  8. Relaunch MacSpeech Dictate
